The Storm of 6/12/09

I've lived in Arkansas my entire life so I'm accustomed to the frequent storms that move through from time to time. In the past, we have always been very fortunate to not suffer any damage to the house. Yesterday, however, we were not as lucky. We sustained some roof damage and damage to our fence. Our sweet Max was missing for a while but our neighbors saw him running and were kind enough to pin him up in their yard until we got home. While we were not home when the storm blew threw, Luke was at his daycare just down the street and they had to take cover. They had damage to their fence and siding and also had a trampoline hit their roof and poke holes in it. All in all we were so very fortunate - the damage could have been so much worse.

Our roof.

One of the turbines on our roof.

Our chiminea didn't make it.

Our back yard. Oh, and that's not our trampoline.

Massive tree that was uprooted just down the street.

Notice the gas bottle stuck in our fence.

Part of our fence.

Our roof. Notice the rake that landed on the roof.

Storm clouds over our neighborhood

wow! I am so glad you guys were safe. Looks like that storm was pretty fierce!
Pick up the pieces and return that trampoline to it's rightful owner before your boys think it was a gift from Heaven. lol
